Friends
of the Museum Present:
A
SUMMER OF HISTORY
Travel
with the Friends of the Museum and journey through history as you
gently (yet occasionally experience some whitewater) float down the
vast and beautiful Umpqua River Basin. Our educational and
experiential trips have been designed for all ages and physical
conditions. These fully guided and equipped journeys include both
history and natural history lessons on the area you'll travel through
as well as the fun experience of floating the Umpqua River Basin.
You'll
encounter nature's wildlife at home in the wild. It
isn't out of the ordinary to see otters, beavers, bear, deer, osprey,
falcons, hawks, bald eagles, minks, and there have even been reports
of an occasional cougar sipping from the banks of this river. Camera's
are encouraged.!
All
trips are sponsored by the friends of the museum. As fundraising
events to support new and ongoing museum programs and activities! Help
support the Museum by traveling through the summer with us!
